When things go wrong

Throughout life from time to time there will be setbacks, things will go wrong. They do for everyone. If you are in control of your life, have a support setup such as good friends, and most of the other areas we have covered above are being handled in your life then you will be able to cope with it  without too much unhappiness.

The more of the areas we have covered within your route plan that are deficient, the larger the problem will appear to be. For example a person who puts everything into a job, working vast hours and doing nothing else will be devastated if the company fails, while the person who also had many other interests will welcome the opportunity to have a little time to put into other interests. Likewise the woman whose whole life is a reflection of the respect, prestige and wealth of the man she serves, will find breaking up far more upsetting than the independent girl with loads of self worth and independent plans and ideas.

We grow and learn from our mistakes, and through overcoming problems, so overcoming problems that occur can often create as much happiness or more than we lose from problems encountered.

In the next few pages we are going to look at just a few problems that might arise and how they are overcome in a way that maintains your level of happiness. Hopefully between you and your support group of friends you will be able to apply the principles here to many other areas that you may encounter.
