Ask a group of experts what happiness is and you get a variety of answers.
Some say its a state of mind, some its all down to body chemistry, some that its
a state that comes from within you. Some say it is connected with achievements
and some that it is seeing the road ahead is a nice place to travel along.
We asked the wisest person we know of and he said its all of these things and
also the feelings attached to special moments from a smile you see, to a touch
from someone special, or the laughter you share with someone, from success or achievement
to the first flush of love, from having a purpose in life and acknowledging
that you are experiencing personal growth. From knowing that you are valued and
loved, and that you are in control of your life. Also that you are confident
that you will be happy tomorrow and most days that follow. Being happy is also
we feel about being healthy and having a lifestyle of choice, being informed and
able to make your own decisions, being adaptable, young at heart, fun to be
with, and a job that provides satisfaction and minimal stress, where you feel
you can make a difference and are valued.
We also know that it is possible for everyone to be happy
whatever their circumstances, whatever bad luck may come their way and
whatever others may do to them, providing they have understood what action
to take and have the support of a support group or friends.
