A light at the end of the tunnel

For many the loss of happiness is caused by the feeling that they are not in control, that the situation they are in will not improve and they can see no light at the end of the tunnel. Perhaps its a single mum, struggling without enough cash, and unhappy unable to see any improvement coming for years ahead. Perhaps its a person in a poorly paid job, struggling to survive, or a person who has to look after another and feels trapped. It can also be the successful person who is well paid but in a job or working with people they do not like, but feels they have to stick it out to maintain their life style or as part of a partnership.

By one means or another we all need to have a light at the end of the tunnel, to know that any situation we have is not permanent and that better times are ahead. So how do we arrange this, regain control and see hope where little exists.

The starting point has to be to define the outcome or situation we would find most ideal, and then break down the steps to achieving this objective. Sometimes we are going to have to make a number of steps, perhaps changing jobs, moving areas, and making new friends, or perhaps doing a complete life audit and deciding to make a major break, and put life into a condition where you will be happy again. One of the advantages of a support organization be it a local group you have set up or a special interest group dedicated to supporting its members such as a witchcraft group, is that you have people able confidentially to look with you at the options, who are often able to pull a few strings or have other ways of making things you would like to happen.

Just remember, at any time you choose you can, should you decide to, walk away from your current situation and start again, but most times you will be able to capitalize on some aspects of your current life in building a new one.

For many its not that desperate, its just a case of a plan that allows them to move forward and a dream that gives them hope.
