Establish support

At the very beginning of this section of the web site we looked over some pages at friends and support. The objective being to have at least two friends or supporters who will support you whatever you choose to do, and at the same time be prepared to tell you confidentially and honestly if they feel you are making a mistake, but without expecting you to change your route.

So how do you establish this support. Perhaps you have friends who you would like to introduce to this web site or the concepts and who would like to form a small girls support group, where you can from time to time get together and at other times be available for each other over the telephone or web. Perhaps you have others you know at work that you think would like to become your friend, or you see someone who is unhappy and having a tough time that you would like to help so start by being their friend.

If you have moved to a new area and have no friends, all is not lost, as there will be many others who are in your area and would just love to find a new friend. One easy way to do this is to use the advertising cards in shop windows that cost only a few pence a week, and here to advertise for a small group of ladies/girls between set ages who would like to get together for a coffee and chat or wine evening, whatever your taste. Perhaps if you are retired you cold suggest dinner parties, or swapping experiences. By keeping away from sport, charity fund raising and politics you are more likely to get people who want to find friends. Some groups that are set up to study some topic also becomes a support group.
